Designed for absolute beginners of all ages, these dance courses introduce the fundamentals in a supportive and non-judgmental environment. It’s a space to explore movement freely, make mistakes without pressure, and leave each class with a sense of achievement and confidence.

You’ll begin with the essentials: body awareness, spatial awareness, group dynamics, principles of contemporary dance, posture, and musicality. As the course progresses, you’ll gradually develop a deeper understanding of movement through dance techniques, simple movement sequences, and choreography.

Your Teacher

Lucie Eidenbenz

Choreographer and dancer, trained with Collectif du Marchepied in Lausanne, before completing the "exerce" training program with Mathilde Monnier at the CCN de Montpellier (National Choreographic Centre). She has been developing her own choreographic projects since 2009, creating several pieces presented in various European countries.  Lucie has a strong interest in teaching, and has spent several years teaching contemporary dance and Theater to a wide range of audiences. Lucie has served as a teaching assistant at La Manufacture, Haute École des Arts de la Scène in Lausanne.

Mike Winter

Mike Winter is a dancer, choreographer, performer, and teacher based in Geneva. Originally from Cardiff, Wales, he trained at Trinity Laban in London and has worked internationally across dance, theatre, and performance. In Switzerland, he has collaborated with artists including Philippe Saire, Alias, József Trefeli, Omar Porras, Opéra de Lausanne, RTS (Radio Télévision Suisse) and Nicole Seiler. Alongside his professional career, Mike has developed projects bringing professional and non-professional dancers together, exploring contemporary dance through collaboration, creativity, and exchange.
